About Us.
Established in 1989, Schoolhouse Products Inc. embarked on a mission to distribute furniture and related products to the education market. The founders, with a background in selling school furniture across North America in the early 1970s, identified a gap in the Canadian education market. They believed that certain products were missing, essential for enhancing and supporting the education process. Moreover, they were determined to provide the Canadian market with a superior level of customer support and after-sales service.
The initial manufacturers that Schoolhouse Products Inc. collaborated with included:
Artcobell, is one of North America's largest producers of classroom furniture.
Mity-Lite, is the pioneer of high-quality and durable lightweight folding tables.
Screenflex Inc., is the creator of a distinctive range of movable partitions and room dividers.
Notably, to this day, Schoolhouse Products Inc. exclusively represents all three companies in Canada.
Over the succeeding 30 years…
Schoolhouse Products added a number of additional manufacturers to the product lines that were distributed in Canada including Bretford Mfg, the largest manufacturer of A/V support furniture; HON, one of the largest manufacturers of office furniture; and Brodart Contract, the leading manufacturer of Learning Commons furniture.
During this time, we found that there were other related institutional-oriented markets, other than education that were underserved – and more importantly, we found that many of the products we originally promoted to the education market had excellent application in the hospitality, recreation, and church market.
